Police investigate separate Derry deaths
Police in Londonderry were investigating the deaths of two men today in separate incidents.
It is understood that police have arrested several people in connection with the killings.
While both deaths are said to be as a result of assaults, no motives have yet been established and it is not known if the two killings are connected.
One of the victims was named as 37-year-old Bernard Martin Parkes. His body was found at Campion Court, Gobnascale in the Waterside area of the city at around 8.15am on Tuesday morning.
The body of the second man, 39-year-old Paul Cross was found at around 3.00am in a house in the Brandywell area of the City. It is understood that he too was the victim of an assault.
Detailed forensic examinations of the scenes were being carried out on Tuesday as police commenced their inquiries.

The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Man's Body Recovered From Bangor Marina
Police have launched an investigation after the body of a man was recovered from Bangor Marina on Wednesday, 13 May. Police received a report that a man had entered the water shortly after 10.15am. Emergency services and police attended the scene and the body was recovered from the water. Police are not treating the death as suspicious.

Man Arrested In Bangor Shooting Investigation
A man has been arrested by detectives investigating the attempted murder of two men in Bangor. The male victims, aged 24 and 33, were shot as they sat in a car in the Eastway area of the Whitehill estate at about 00:45 on 10 February. UTV has reported that the UVF are thought to have been behind the attack.

Double 'Dissident' Murder: Woman Arrested
A woman has been arrested by detectives investigating the brutal murders of two men in Belfast. A police spokesperson said the 22-year-old was today being questioned at Antrim police station. The body of Edward Burns, 36, who was shot in the head, was found near the Falls Road and the beaten body of Joe Jones, 38, was discovered in Ardoyne.
