Three NI Hauliers Lose Licences Over Illegal Fuel Use

Three hauliers in Northern Ireland have had their operating licences taken away after it was discovered they were using illegal fuel.

Investigations by the Department of the Environment's Transport Regulation Unit (TRU) lead the removal of licences from Padraig Daly, of PD Refrigerated, County Tyrone; Kevin Peter Johnston of Johnston Tipper Services, County Londonderry, and Wadsworth James Bethel, of Banbridge, County Down.

It is understood the TRU, which was established last year to regulate the operators of goods vehicles in Northern Ireland, are continuing to investigate some 30 other cases.
