1992 W Belfast Stabbing - Investigation Reopened

The PSNI has reopened an investigation into an incident in which a man in west Belfast was stabbed over 20 years ago.

25-year-old Patrick Sullivan was killed when he was stabbed on Matchett Street on 23 February 1992.

A west Belfast man was later convicted of his manslaughter.

Detectives from the PSNI Serious Crime Branch have reopened the investigation following the receipt of new information.

The emergency department of Craigavon Area Hospital was partially closed for some time this morning, 16 July, due to an incident. The Southern Health and Social Care Trust confirmed damage to the busy A&E department had led to the affected area being closed.

54-Year-Old Arrested Over 1993 UVF Murder
A 54-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the 1993 murder of Joseph Reynolds. UVF gunmen ambushed Mr Reynolds van on Sydenham Road as he was driving to work on 12 October 1993. Three others were injured in the attack. The investigation into the murder was reopened last year, with a number of arrests being made.

Man Dies In Road Crash In Co Tyrone
A man has died in a road collision in Co Tyrone. The incident, between a vehicle and a pedestrian, occurred in the Clanabogan Road area of Omaha at around 2.05pm on Friday, 12 July. The road was closed however it has now been re-opened.
