Indeed Announces Expansion Plans

Indeed has announced expansion plans for its Dublin-based Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) headquarters, adding more than 100 new employees in the next 12 months.

The company has already started recruiting for sales, client services, business development, marketing, finance and operations, which will help companies across EMEA to maximise the return on their recruitment spend, while continuing to offer the best job search experience for job seekers.

Indeed is the world's most popular job search service, with sites in more than 50 countries and 28 languages. Unlike most job sites which only show paid listings, Indeed brings together the most job listings from employer career sites, staffing agencies, job boards, and newspaper career pages. Every month over 100 million job seekers find and apply to jobs on Indeed through a desktop, tablet, or smartphone with a single search. Indeed makes it easy for job seekers to create job alerts which notify them as soon as new jobs are posted meeting their unique criteria.

Indeed opened its first Dublin office in March 2012 and in the last 18 months has hired over 100 employees. Due to its rapid growth Indeed has already expanded into a larger premises in the Bloodstone building on Dublin’s Sir John Rogerson Quay. The company plans to double its current workforce to over 200 people in the next 12 months.

The project has been supported by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through IDA Ireland and Minister Bruton met the company as part of a recent IDA mission to east coast USA.

An Tánaiste, Mr. Eamon Gilmore T.D, said: "I'm delighted to welcome the further expansion of Indeed in Dublin with 100 new jobs. Ireland is becoming the internet capital of Europe with companies like Indeed offering great opportunities to our passionate, highly-skilled workforce. The Government, through its Action Plan for Jobs, will continue to make the changes to ensure Ireland remains competitive and a natural home for digital companies. Indeed's growing footprint in Ireland is a welcome statement of its commitment to this country."
