Kitman Labs Announces 24 New Posts

Kitman Labs, Ireland's newest sports science technology company, has announced that it is to create 24 new jobs after it successfully raised €475,000, in a combination of private investment and matched funding from the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through Enterprise Ireland's iHPSU fund. The jobs will be created over the next three years, as the company expands their operations into the UK market.

The company specialises in delivering athlete management solutions to elite sports organisations, with a focus on highlighting and predicting injury risk in professional athletes. Through the creation of Injury Profiler, Kitman Labs have developed a groundbreaking system which successfully highlights, manages and reduces the occurrence of injuries in professional sport.

Funded initially through Enterprise Ireland's Competitive Startup Funding, Kitman Labs' current round of funding includes notable private investors such as Irish Rugby captain Jamie Heaslip, two time Heineken Cup winner Kevin McLaughlin, along with Barry Maloney, founding partner at Balderton Capital, Europe's leading venture investor.

Welcoming the announcement, Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton TD said: "At the heart of the Government’s Action Plan for Jobs is our determination to create a powerful engine of Irish exporting businesses. The announcement that Kitman Labs is to create 24 new jobs over the next three years, as the company expands their operations into the UK market, is very welcome. Here is an Irish company which, with the support of my Department and Enterprise Ireland in particular, is developing innovative products, pursuing new markets, and creating new jobs. I commend all involved on their efforts and wish them every success for the future."
