Funding Secure For Co Down Performing Arts Centre
Funding has been secured for a proposed performing arts and technology centre in Bangor, Co Down.
Plans for the facility, to be built opposite the South Eastern Regional College campus, were shelved in 2010, but Employment and Learning Minister Stephen Farry has now announced that the £12 million funding has been secured.
The new centre will house a theatre and rehearsal and production studios alongside teaching facilities for technology students.
Contruction of the new centre is expected to be completed by 2015.

As part of the drive to ensure Derry city shops are ‘Euro-friendly’ by January 1, 2002, retailers are being encouraged to participate in advice seminars. Organised by City Centre Initiative and the North West Institute of Further & Higher Education, each seminar aims to advise retailers on currency exchange rates, cash handling and dual pricing.

Social Development Minister Nelson McCausland has unveiled a £300,000 funding package for events and community activities in Belfast. The Belfast City Centre Event and Community Activity Grant schemes aim to encourage arts, cultural and community-based events in Belfast City Centre, which will take place between April 2014 and March 2015.
