Pipe Bomb Thrown At Police
A viable pipe bomb has been thrown at a police vehicle in Londonderry.
A number of people were evacuated during a security alert in the Bogside area on Wednesday morning after the device was thrown at police on Tuesday night.
The device was confirmed as viable during the alert, which closed Charlotte Street, Barrack Street and the Lecky flyover.
Police have confirmed that the closed roads have since reopened.
Police are investigate the device.

Police come under petrol bomb attack
Police in Londonderry have escaped injury following a petrol bomb attack late last night. Officers came under attack in Butcher Street when a number of youths threw a pipe bomb at premises. No damage was caused however another device was later thrown at a police vehicle in Rossville Street. No one was injured.

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Viable Incendiary Device Found On Police Station Grounds
A controlled explosion has been carried out on a viable incendiary device discovered on the grounds of Ballycastle Police Station, Co Antrim. A second device found has been declared a hoax. They were discovered on the Ramoan Road on Thursday morning. A number of businesses were forced to close during the alert, however they have now reopened.

Police Seize 16 Petrol Bombs In West Belfast
Police have seized 16 petrol bombs in west Belfast. The bombs were found in the Colinview Street area earlier this week. One petrol bomb was also thrown at officers at Lanarark Way on Monday, 11 July, while they were standing with a crowd of people including small children. Fortunately the device failed to ignite.

Explosive Device Found In West Belfast
An explosive device found during a security alert in west Belfast was "designed to kill or seriously injure police officers", according to the PSNI. The alert, which has now ended, was on the Brians Well road area in Poleglass on Saturday, 14 January.
