TripAdvisor To Establish In Dublin

The Minister for Jobs, Enterprise & Innovation, Richard Bruton TD joined TripAdvisor® has announced it is to establish a new engineering hub in Dublin.

The hub is the largest of its kind to be established outside of the United States by TripAdvisor, and will see at least 50 high quality web engineering roles created in the short term alone.

The company is to locate in the area known as Silicon Docks and recruitment for the new positions will begin immediately. The Dublin hub will be a centre for key engineering roles globally, working closely with TripAdvisor’s world-class team of engineers in the US to deliver new and improved features to TripAdvisor’s platforms - including its core TripAdvisor websites, Vacation Rentals, and TripAdvisor for Business products.

Making the joint announcement today, Minister Bruton said: "The ICT sector is at the heart of the Government’s Action Plan for Jobs, and in recent years we have seen jobs growth in this area as the biggest names on the internet decide to locate operations in Ireland. Today I am delighted to welcome the announcement that TripAdvisor is coming to Dublin. This is a company which has revolutionised the travel industry and one of the fastest growing businesses on the internet, and today’s announcement confirms our status as the internet capital of Europe. I wish TripAdvisor every success here."
