Cochrane Condemns East Belfast Shooting
Alliance East Belfast MLA Judith Cochrane has condemned those responsible for a shooting that occurred on Lord Street Mews, off the Beersbridge Road in East Belfast at 10.40pm on Wednesday night.
One woman was shot multiple times. Her injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
Ms Cochrane said: "There is no place on our streets for gun violence. A life could have been lost last night.
"My thoughts at this time are with the woman who was shot, I hope she will be able to make a full recovery from her injuries.
"The people responsible are dangerous individuals who have no regards for the lives of other people. They must be urgently apprehended by the police to face justice before the courts. If anybody has any information about this attack then I would urge them to contact the police."

PSNI Appeal For Information About West Belfast Shooting
The PSNI have appeal for witnesses to or any one with any information about a shooting incident in west Belfast on Wednesday night. A man was shot in the leg at Creeslough Gardens at around 21:30 on Wednesday night. It is understood that victim is in his 40s and his injuries are not life threatening.

Police treat shooting incident as attempted murder
Police are treating a gun attack on a house in east Belfast last night as attempted murder. The incident occurred at around 9.25pm on Monday night when a shot was fired into the living room of a house in Enid Parade in the Upper Newtownards Road of east Belfast. A man who was in the house at the time narrowly escaped injury.

Police are appealing for witnesses to a shooting in east Belfast on Sunday, 09 September. A man was walking along the Connswater Greenway between 8pm and 8:30pm, from the direction of Orangefield towards Clarawood, when he was shot at by a masked man. Two shots were reportedly fired from a revolver but the man was not injured.

Paterson Condemns East Belfast Riots
The Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, Owen Paterson has hit out at the overnight violence in east Belfast. He spoke out after news that a press photographer - who works for a local news agency - was understood to be in a stable condition in the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast after he was shot overnight in the rioting.

Forecourt Victim Named As CCTV Probed
NI's Police Ombudsman is today investigating the fatal shooting of a man by an off-duty PSNI officer during a suspected robbery in east Belfast yesterday. The victim - identified this afternoon as 29-year-old Marc Alexander Ringland - was shot and fatally wounded shortly after 7pm by the armed officer at a garage forecourt on the Albertbridge Road.
