New Chairperson Appointed To The RUC GC Foundation
Justice Minister David Ford has today announced Brian Rea CBE as the new Chairperson to the RUC GC Foundation.
Mr Ford said: "The RUC GC Foundation carries out a very important role in providing support to serving and ex-police officers and their families.
"I congratulate Brian Rea CBE on his appointment. As a former Chair of the Northern Ireland Policing Board and more recently as a Trustee of the RUC GC Foundation, Brian brings a wealth of experience to the role. I wish Brian every success for his term of office in providing leadership to the Foundation.
"I would like to pay tribute to Jim McDonald CBE, the former Chairperson of the Foundation, for his personal commitment and the significant contribution he has made to the work of the Foundation over the last eleven years."

NI Artists Offered Residencies In India
The Arts Council of Northern Ireland is offering residencies for four local artists to travel and work in India. In partnership with the British Council, two chosen artists will be sent to the Sanskriti Foundation residency in New Delhi, while another two are destined for the Shruti Foundation Vedaaranya residency in Ramgarh Shekhawati, Rajasthan.

Michaela McAreavey Murder Accused To Sue Police
A man acquitted for the murder of Michaela McAreavey in Mauritius is threatening to sue the local police for damages. 27-year-old Ms McAreavy was killed at the Legends hotel on the island in January 2011. Avinash Treebhoowoon and Sandip Moneea were cleared of the killing in July of this year.
