Dromore Arrest Over Suspicious Deaths

A 66-year-old man has been arrested in Dromore, County Down, as part of investigations into the deaths of three women in the area over the past 11 years.

The man was detained in the town this morning and has been taken to the Serious Crime Suite at Antrim police station for questioning.

47-year-old Michelle Bickerstaff died in April last year, 50-year-old Margaret Weise in August 2007 and Elizabeth McKee, 52, in December 2002.

The PSNI said the suspect had also been arrested for a number of other offences in relation to other women.

The families of the women, who all died in suspicious circumstances, have been informed by police.

Police arrest man in connection with Dromore death
A man has been arrested in connection with the suspicious death in March of a teenager in Dromore, Country Tyrone. The body of the fifteen-year-old boy was found on the evening of 2 March in a house in Fairview Gardens in the town, and the boy was later identified as Niall Breen.

Four People Arrested Over George Gilmore Murder
Four more people have been arrested over the murder of George Gilmore. Mr Gilmore, a high-profile loyalist, was shot in the neck in the Woodburn estate in Carrickfergus on 13 March this year. He died from his injuries the next day in hospital. A 30-year-old man and three women have been taken to Musgrave Police Station to be questioned.

Two Arrests Made In Connection With Death Of Elderly Man In Dromore
A 54-year-old man has been arrested in suspicion of murder in connection with the death of an elderly man on 30 June in County Tyrone. The 84-year-old man was found dead at an address in Blackwater Road, Dromore. Police investigating the death made two arrests on Tuesday.
