Six Cars Set Alight In North Belfast

Police have revealed news that six cars were set alight in north Belfast at the weekend.

Four vehicles in the Mountview Street area were reported as having been set alight at 3:45 in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Another attack occurred on the Hillview Road area at 3:15, involving two other cars.

PSNI CCTV Voyeur Arrested

A man working as a CCTV operator at a police station in north Belfast has been arrested on suspicion of voyeurism.

The 49-year-old security staff member was employed by a private firm. He was not a PSNI employee.

He is believed to have been operating CCTV at Antrim Road PSNI station.

He has since been released from custody.

Dissident Search Operation Concludes

An operation carried out in south Down and south Armagh by PSNI detectivtes investigating dissident republican activity has concluded.

The seaches were carried out on Tuesday and covered Newry, Bessbrook and Meigh.

There are no further details at present.

West Belfast Chemists Robbed

Two members of staff at a chemist's shop in west Belfast have been shaken by an armed robbery.

Two men, one of whom was armed with a knife, entered the premises on the Springfield Road on Tuesday at around 12: 45

They demanded money before making off with a sum of cash in the direction of Violet Street.

The workers were not injured.

Warning Issued To Public Not To Touch Suspicious Objects In Carryduff
Police have issued a warning to the public not to touch any suspicious objects in the Carryduff area in south Belfast. The warning comes after reports of suspicious activity in the Belfast Road between the Carryfuff roundabout and the junction of Ballyknockan Road.
