Dodds Expelled From Commons

The DUP's leader in the House of Commons, Nigel Dodds, has been expelled from the chamber for unparliamentary language, according to the BBC.

BBC NI said Mr Dodds had criticised Secretary of State Theresa Villiers and accused her of "deliberate deception" over the workings of the Parades Commission.

The comments followed a decision by the Commission to stop an evening Orange march through the Ardoyne area of north Belfast on 12 July.

Speaker John Bercow requested that the north Belfast MP withdraw his comments.

Mr Dodds refused and was then named by the Speaker before being expelled from the Commons for the rest of the day.
