CDEnviro Opens New Facility
Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster has officially opened a new manufacturing facility at CDEnviro, following a £2.7m expansion by the Cookstown firm.
CDEnviro manufactures a range of equipment for the sewage and waste water treatment industries. The company recently trebled its manufacturing capacity with the construction of a new state of the art facility in Co Tyrone.
Invest Northern Ireland offered CDEnviro assistance towards the build to enable it to expand into lucrative markets in Western Europe and Latin America.
Speaking at the official opening, Arlene Foster said: "CDEnviro has experienced considerable growth in the past two years and its expansion in Cookstown is very welcome news for the local community and wider economy.
"The 30 new positions the company is creating as a result of this expansion will support this ambitious export-focused firm’s continued commitment to innovation and product development and boost its ability to compete for new contracts in the UK and beyond."
The company specialises in the design and manufacture of a range of screening, material washing and recycling machinery for international markets and has an extensive distribution network covering Europe, Australasia, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East. It recently secured its first major contract in Brazil after participating on a trade mission organised by Invest NI.
