Funeral of murdered loyalist takes place

Hundreds of mourners have attended the funeral of a man murdered over the weekend in Co Down.

45-year-old Jim Johnston was killed at his Ballyrobert Road home in Crawfordsburn last Thursday. Police have linked the killing to a drugs feud in the area.

One man is currently being questioned by police after being detained yesterday. His arrest followed the release of another man who was questioned in connection with the shooting.

It has been alleged that Mr Johnston was a senior figure in the loyalist paramilitary group the Red Hand Commando.

He was buried at Clandeboye Cemetery in Bangor earlier today.
