Newry Firm Creates 400 Jobs

400 jobs are to be created in Newry as part of a recruitment drive by a veterinary pharmaceuticals company.

Norbrook Laboratories Ltd has already taken on over 200 jobs this year.

The firm is recruiting across multiple disciplines including production, scientific analysis, research, finance and engineering.

An open day is being organised by Norbrook for the Europa Hotel, Belfast on Tuesday 25 June from 8:00 to 20:00.

Mr James Gibbs, Recruitment Manager, Norbrook Laboratories Ltd, said: "These new positions have been created as part of our long-term expansion strategy to increase the capacity and capabilities of our facilities in Northern Ireland in order to meet the growing global demand for our products and services.

"The new jobs will be spread right across the full spectrum of our operation and will range from high-end, senior positions through to committed and motivated production operatives, all offering extremely competitive and attractive salaries."

Northern Ireland peer Lord Ballyedmond has been killed along with three other men in a helicopter crash in England. The aircraft came down last night in thick fog in Norfolk near the stately home of Edward Haughey, who became Lord Ballyedmond in 2004.
