Firebrand Digital Strategies Signs A Six-Figure Deal

Firebrand Digital Strategies, the Belfast-based technology start-up, has been assisted by Invest Northern Ireland to sign a six-figure deal with a global manufacturer.

The company has secured its first export business with Suominen Nonwovens, part of Finland’s Suominen Corporation, to provide an innovative digital marketing campaign for the Finnish corporation that is designed to extend its engagement with its global consumer base.

Invest NI provided funding support and advice to enable Firebrand Digital, which specialises in the development, roll out and management of digital marketing, to visit the Finnish manufacturer in Helsinki and turn an initial approach into firm business, its first international contract.

The breakthrough contract was announced by Matthew Scott, Firebrand Managing Director, and welcomed by Dr Vicky Kell, Invest NI Trade Director.

Mr Scott, commenting on the contract, said: "This business with Suominen Nonwovens is a tremendously exciting development for us in just under a year in business. It was secured in competition with much bigger and much longer established companies.

"We secured the business because our leading-edge technology, versatility and sharp customer focus impressed the client. They recognised that we really wanted their business and were prepared to deploy highly experienced staff to ensure their success.

"Invest NI responded very quickly to our initial approach for advice and support for our bid to win this very important business. Bidding for business from an international corporation is challenging for a small start-up company. Invest NI's support made it possible for us to compete and win against much bigger rivals."
