City Hall To Host Upcoming Event To Help Businesses 'Start Up'
Local entrepreneurs or people planning to start their own business will get essential help and guidance, thanks to a 'one-stop shop' event in the City Hall this June.
'Start Up Belfast' will be held in the Banqueting Hall on Wednesday 5 June. The free event will provide tailored business advice and informative exhibition stands from business support organisations and banks across Belfast and Northern Ireland.
Among the organisations taking part in the event are the Bank of Ireland; First Trust Bank; Ulster Bank; Invest NI; DEL Skills Solutions; Enterprise NI; Federation of Small Businesses; Equality Commission; Women in Business; WorkWest; East Belfast Enterprises; North City Business Centre; Ormeau Business Park; Prince`s Trust; Belfast Metropolitan College; ORTUS; Full Circle; HM Revenue and Customs; Health and Safety Works NI; Tax Assist and the Labour Relations Agency.
The Log On NI bus will also be at the City Hall for the duration of the event to provide businesses with advice on using ICT and broadband. Start Up Belfast is organised through Belfast City Council, Invest NI and the European Regional Development Fund under the European Sustainable Competitiveness Programme for Northern Ireland.
Alderman Christopher Stalford, Chairman of Belfast City Council`s Development Committee, said: "Start Up Belfast will provide businesses starting out with helpful advice on taking those important first steps. It will also offer existing businesses expert guidance on growing their business. Belfast City Council supports local business across the city and this event is a very important one to attend."
