Operaton Dulcet: 19 Images Released
Operation Dulcet detectives have released further images of people they want to speak to in connection with the union flag protests.
Loyalists have been protesting since the decision by Belfast City Councillors to restrict the flying of the union flag above Belfast City Hall.
While most have been peaceful, some have resulted in unnotified processions, obstruction and violent disorder.
To date, a total of 243 people have been arrested as part of the investigation.
A total of 188 people have been charged and 96 people have been reported to the Public Prosecution Service.
While the size and scale of the protests has been reduced dramatically since the beginning of the dispute, Operation Dulcet is ongoing.
Detective Superintendent Sean Wright said the investigation continues to receive strong support from the public.
He explained: "We have released a number of images so far and we have had a very positive response from members of the public to date. There are people out there who will know the identity of these 19 people who I am looking to speak to. I am confident that those people will come forward with that information.
"It is vital that we all send out a message to those participating in un-notified processions and protests that such behaviour will not be tolerated. Those who break the law must face consequences for their actions. They will be dealt appropriately and proportionately through the criminal justice system."
The senior detective also appealed directly to those featured in the images to contact his team.
He added: "I would ask anyone who believes one of the images is of them to contact us immediately in order to help us with out inquires."
Operation Dulcet is focussing on a range of offences including serious rioting, hijacking of vehicles, attacks on politicians' offices, threats made against politicians, un-notified processions and social media based offences.
Anyone who may be able to identify any of the individuals is urged to contact detectives at the Major Incident Room on 028 90 901775.
Or if anyone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.
The images can be viewed on the PSNI website.
