177 Jobs Created At Deloitte Belfast

177 jobs are to be created at Deloitte's Belfast Technology Studio.

The company delivers business services to the UK and European markets and has now announced the creation of new jobs in Belfast, with the help of a £1.2m injection from Invest Northern Ireland.

Speaking at the Deloitte offices in Belfast, Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster said: "Deloitte is one of the top four global consultancy companies in the world so this is an important and prestigious investment for Northern Ireland. This commitment by Deloitte to its Technology Studio and the creation of 177 new, high quality jobs is proof of Northern Ireland’s growing reputation for excellence in technology and the wider ICT sector.

"These jobs will deliver over £6m annually in salaries and will provide employment opportunities for new and experienced graduates, not only from ICT disciplines but from analytical backgrounds such as science, technology, engineering or maths. This is further evidence that Invest Northern Ireland’s inward investment strategy is working and that this region is competing strongly with other global locations for high value projects."

Danny McConnell, Technology Partner at Deloitte Belfast, said: "This high value investment is a direct response to major new opportunities we have identified in the provision of specialist and integrated analytics, digital and testing services. The fact that we have chosen to further develop our Technology Studio in Belfast is testament to the skilled workforce and advanced infrastructure in Northern Ireland.

"With the help of Invest NI we plan to develop a dedicated team of professionals who are passionate about innovative and emerging technology which will enable our clients to stay ahead of the game in this fast changing technological age."

Recruitment is already underway for the new positions.
