Newtownabbey Street Furniture Business Opens

Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster has officially opened the new premises of Environmental Street Furniture Limited in Newtownabbey.

The Co. Antrim business designs and sources bespoke street furniture products and recently invested almost £200,000 as part of plans to target sales opportunities in Great Britain, Europe and beyond.

Environmental Street Furniture has benefited from Invest Northern Ireland’s assistance to recruit five new staff members; three were supported through the Jobs Fund.

Speaking during a visit to the company, Arlene Foster said: "Environmental Street Furniture is a recently established business with a clear commitment to achieve success in export markets.

"Invest Northern Ireland's support with the recruitment of additional staff and the implementation of its marketing strategy will enable this company to strengthen its competitive position in its target markets. I am delighted to formally open Environmental Street Furniture’s offices and wish the company continued success with its future growth plans."

The company has received Invest NI support towards its marketing activities. Its products include bollards, seating, litter bins, cycle parking and bus shelters.
