35 Jobs For L'Derry Furniture Company

A family-run furniture company in Co Londonderry is to create 35 new jobs.

According to the BBC, the new jobs for Specialist Joinery Group are part of a £3m expansion.

The firm designs, manufactures and fits bespoke furniture for the construction sector and its portfolio includes projects in Europe, America and the Middle East.

It has also supplied products for Titanic Belfast, the South West Acute Hospital in Enniskillen, Dublin Airport and the Guildhall School of Music in London.

The jobs announcement comes as the company celebrates its 25th year in business and later today, it will officially open its new 65,000sq ft manufacturing facility.

In a statement, the company said: "Increased client demand prompted this significant multi-million pound investment in the facilities and production capacity will see the company confidently develop and continue to growth over the next 10 years."

Invest NI has offered the company £350k towards the expansion.

Specialist Joinery Group was founded by the O'Hagan family in 1988 and currently employs 77 people.
