ACI Worldwide To Treble Its Workforce

Castletroy-based Fine Gael TD, Kieran O'Donnell, has welcomed the announcement by the Minister for Jobs Enterprise and Innovation, Richard Bruton TD, that ACI Worldwide is to treble its workforce at its Software Development Centre in Plassey, Castletroy with the creation of 60 new jobs.

Mr O'Donnell said: "These are the latest IDA-backed jobs to come to Limerick, and follow on from recent announcements by Vistakon of a €100 million investment with 100 manufacturing jobs in Plassey and the establishment of the Worldwide Tech Services European Operations Centre with 62 jobs in the city centre.

"More than 1,100 IDA-backed jobs have now been announced for Limerick in 15 separate job announcements since the Government took office. I am confident of further announcements this year, and I continue to work closely both with the IDA and Minister Bruton to this end.

"The strong message now coming through is that Limerick is a formidable location for inward investment. We have a fantastic local workforce and top-level educational institutions making Limerick a great place in which to do business."
