Boy Rescued From Sinking Sand
A teenage boy has been rescued after becoming stuck in a pit of sinking sand outside L'Derry.
The boy became trapped in the sand at Moy Road, Cullion, between Derry and Strabane, at about 20:00 on Tuesday evening.
Neighbours and friends assisted the boy by throwing him a line and trying to pull him out.
He was still holding onto the line when the Fire and Rescue Service arrived.
Ballymena Security Alert Ends
A security alert in Ballymena town centre is now over, after a suspicious object discovered at the Pentagon roundabout was declared a hoax.
Army bomb disposal experts were called to the scene and diversions were in place at the Cullybackey Road, North Road and Ballymoney Road car park.
All roads have now been re-opened.
PSNI Warn Over ATM 'Card Traps'
The PSNI has alerted the public to be cautious when using ATM cashpoints in Belfast, after a number of 'card traps' were discovered.
The 'traps' are devices attached to ATM machines which swallow cards. Once the user has left the machine, the thief can then return and remove both the trap and the card.
Police have advised the public to check around the card slot and keyboard areas before withdrawing cash, and to use another machine if suspicious.
Bus Driver Fined For 'Dangerous' Passenger Carrying
A bus driver from Kilkeel, County Down, has been fined £300 for carrying passengers in a "dangerous manner".
Bobby Alan Wilson, 46, of 13 Bignian Avenue, was also handed three penalty points at Newry Magistrates' Court.
On 5 May 2012, Enforcement Officers from the Driver & Vehicle Agency stopped a 16-seat minibus on the Rathfriland Road, Banbridge.
It was found that there were 18 passengers onboard.
Two passengers were sharing a single seat and one passenger was sitting on an unsecured stool at the rear emergency exit.

Man and child die in separate road accidents
A man and child have died in separate road accidents yesterday. The man died after the motorcycle he was riding was in collision with a lorry on the Tandragee Road, Newry. The motorcyclist, who was riding a Honda motorcycle, suffered serious injuries in the collision, which occurred around 7.30pm.
