Police Investigate Damage At Killyleagh School

Police in Downpatrick are investigating a case of criminal damage which occurred at a primary school on the Shrigley Road Killyleagh on 4 April.

At about 21:30 on Thursday evening it was discovered that up to 25 windows at the school had been broken.

Police say a number of young people were seen in the area of the school earlier that evening, and they they have asked them to come forward to rule them out of the investigation.

Anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area or who has any information is asked to contact police at Downpatrick on 0845 600 8000. The independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Men Arrested Over West Belfast Traffic Incident

Two men, aged 27 and 19, have been arrested in west Belfast following an incident in the Suffolk Road area in the early hours of Saturday 6 April.

The incident began when a silver Renault Megane, believed to have been stolen, failed to stop for police in the Andersonstown Road area at approximately 02:50.

The vehicle was later discovered in the Suffolk Road area at approximately 03:10am. The car attempted to make off when a male police officer was injured.

The officer is currently being treated in hospital.

The two men remain in custody.

Police believe a red Vauxhall Corsa, which was hijacked in the Locan Street area at approximately 02:10, is linked to this incident.

Lisburn Pharmacy Robbed

Police have arrested two men following an armed robbery at a pharmacy in Lisburn.

The robbery occurred at about 17:00 on Saturday evening, when two men entered the premises at Ballymacash Road and held up staff.

One of the men carried a pistol.

A customer was struck on the arm before the men made off with a sum of money from the till and a quantity of diazepam tablets.

They were later arrested at Woodbrook Avenue.

Cars Vandalised In North Belfast

Police are appealing for witnesses after a dozen cars were vandalised in north Belfast.

The cars in the Ballygomartin Road area of the city were scratched some time between late Saturday night and the early hours of Sunday.

The PSNI has appealed for anyone with information about the vandalism to contact them on 0845 600 8000.

Six Arrested In Dissident Investigation

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Police Appeal After Man Attacked In Co Antrim
Police are appealing for information after a man was attacked in Ballymena, Co Antrim. The assault happened in the North Road area at around 3.30am on Sunday, 29 January. A gang of four or five men attacked the victim, aged 37. He was taken to hospital where his condition has been described as "serious".

Investigation Launched After Burglars Steal Cash And Medication In L'Derry
An investigation has been launched after burglars stole medication from a house in Co L'Derry. The incident happened in the Galliagh Park area just after 1am on Tuesday, 01 May. The occupant was threatened at knifepoint and the suspects made off with cash and medication.
