Two men shot in separate paramilitary-style attacks
A 29-year-old man has been treated in hospital for a gunshot wound to his lower leg following what appears to have been a paramilitary-style shooting in north Belfast.
The shooting is believed to have occurred at around 5.15 pm in an entry close to Mount Vernon Park in the Shore Road area.
Elsewhere, a 33-year-old man has been treated in hospital for a gunshot wound to his thigh following a paramilitary-style attack in west Belfast.
It is believed that the shooting occurred in the area of Benmore Drive, Finaghy, shortly before 10 pm on Wednesday night.
Police have appealed for anyone with information on either incident to contact them on 028 9065 0222 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.

Two men have been shot in separate paramilitary-style attacks overnight. At around 9pm, a 35-year-old man was found by police on the hard shoulder of the M2 motorway near Glengormley. He had been shot in both knees before being dumped on the carriageway. The victim is recovering in hospital.

Man in hospital after 'barbaric' paramilitary attack
A 42-year-old man is recovering in hospital after a paramilitary-style attack in Co Tyrone last night. At around 8.30pm a group of up to 13 masked men forced their way into a house at Carlton Drive in Strabane and shot the man in both elbows and both knees. He was also beaten and suffered cuts and bruises to the head.

The man was picked up by an ambulance at around 9.15pm on the Glenburn Road in Dunmurry after being shot in both legs. It is unclear at present who was behind the attack but police have appealed for any witnesses to contact them.

Man shot in paramilitary-style attack
A 22-year-old man has been shot in a paramilitary-style attack in East Belfast on Thursday. The man was walking along Coburg Street at around 9.30pm when he was confronted by six masked men who tied him up and shot him in the hands and thighs. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
