UUP Expresses Sadness At The Passing Of Pamela Brankin
Ulster Unionist Party Leader, Mike Nesbitt MLA has expressed his sadness at the passing of Pamela Brankin, the mother of Sapper Mark Quinsey who was one of two soldiers murdered by terrorists outside Massereene Barracks in Antrim four years ago.
Mr Nesbitt said: "The Ulster Unionist Party is very saddened to hear of the death of Pamela Brankin, the mother of Sapper Mark Quinsey and we send our sympathies to her family and friends.
"She is one of the thousands of untold and unrecognised victims of the violence in Northern Ireland.
"The legacy of the grubby terrorist campaign is endless human suffering. As a Victims Commissioner, I learnt to be mindful that beyond those who lost their lives as a direct result of terrorist attacks, many others died of broken hearts, heart attacks and many many more suffer mental health issues that will be with them to the grave."

Murdered Soldier Laid To Rest
The funeral of one of the two soldiers shot dead by the Real IRA in Antrim has taken place. Mark Quinsey, 23, (pictured, on right) was murdered on March 7th with his colleague Patrick Azimkar (also pictured) as they took delivery of a pizza at Massereene Barracks earlier this month.

Marian Price Pleads Guilty In Massereene Case
Marian Price has pleaded guilty to providing a mobile phone that was used in the murder of two soldiers in 2009. Appearing under her real name of McGlinchey, she told the court she had purchased the phone, which was then used in a dissident republican ambush on Sappers Mark Quinsey and Patrick Azimkar.

Sappers' Murder Trial Due To Start Today
The trial of two men accused of murdering soldiers at Massereene barracks in 2009 is due to begin at Antrim Crown Court. After long delays and legal challenges the two NI men who are accused of killing Royal Engineers' Sappers Mark Quinsey and Patrick Azimkhar - who were shot dead on 7 March 2009 - are for the dock today.
