Items Stolen From Co Down High School

Thieves have broken into a high school in County Down.

Two laptop computers and a number of tools were stolen from Movilla High School on Newtownard's Donaghadee Road, between Wednesday night and Thursday morning.

Windows were forced open at the back of the building where the items were stolen.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Heavy Snow Closes Over 80 Schools
Over 80 schools across Northern Ireland have been closed as the heavy snow continues to cause disruption on Tuesday morning. The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning, as the snow is continuing to affect many roads. Areas which have been majorly disrupted include Lisburn, Castlereagh and Carryduff.

Police Appeal Following Burglary In Ahoghill
Detectives are appealing for information following a report of a burglary in Ahoghill on Tuesday, 12th November. Police received a report that the back door of a house on the Ballymena Road was forced open shortly before 6pm.

Protestant High School vandalised in north Belfast
A predominantly Protestant High School in north Belfast has been vandalised causing £10,000 worth of damage. Around 200 windows were broken at Castle High School in Fortwilliam Park at around 6pm on Thursday evening.

Magherafelt School Gets Green Light
Northern Ireland Education Minister, Caitríona Ruane, has given the go ahead for a new, £9m Magherafelt High School.
