Teenager shot in paramilitary-style attack
A teenager has been shot in a paramilitary style attack in Newtownards.
The 15-year-old youth was asleep in his house in the Westwinds estate when around five masked men dragged him from his house and shot him in the garden.
He is currently being treated in hospital with gunshot wounds to his legs.
Elsewhere, a woman has been repeatedly stabbed at her house in Strabane.
The woman was attacked after answering the front door of her Springhill Park home at around 3.30am on Thursday morning.
The woman is currently being treated in Altnagelvin Hospital for a puncture wound to her lung.
One person has been arrested in connection to the attack.
Meanwhile, a man is due in court today charged with a number of offences including kidnapping, assault with intent to rape and indecent assault on a young woman.
It is understood to relate to the abduction of a young woman from Sion Mills last weekend.

A woman has been found unconscious on a road in County Down. The woman, aged in her 50s, was discovered on the Sheepland Road at around 4.30am on Sunday. She was taken to hospital where she is believed to be in a serious condition.

Four escape injury in gun attack
Four people have escaped injury following a gun attack on a house in Co Armagh. Two shots were fired at the house in the Parkmore estate, Craigavon at around 8.45pm on Wednesday. A woman, her husband, a two-year-old boy and his grandfather were in the house at the time.

A man in his 30s has been shot several times in the legs in Co L'Derry. The shooting attack happened in the Rinmore Drive area at around 10.30pm on Tuesday, 09 August. The victim was shot in each ankle and once in the thigh. He is currently being treated in hospital, however his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
