CareerSport Fitness Academy Builds Reputation In Dubai

CareerSport Fitness Academy based in Holywood, County Down, is building its reputation and sales in Dubai and Abu Dhabi with support from Invest Northern Ireland.

CareerSport Fitness Academy provides internationally accredited specialist training and recruitment in health, fitness, sport and leisure in Great Britain, the Republic of Ireland and the UAE. The company delivers a range of accredited and licensed courses for aspiring fitness instructors, personal trainers and specialists including Bokwa Fitness, exercise to music, Sports Massage Therapy, Circuit Training and Pre and Post Natal exercise.

CareerSport Fitness Academy rents an office in Invest NI's Northern Ireland Technology and Development Centre in Dubai and invested over £70,000 last year as part of its plans to maximise growth opportunities in the Middle East and South Africa.

Invest NI offered CareerSport over £19,000 of support to implement marketing activities and recruit a Business Performance Manager to help drive sales in its target markets. To date, the company has received over £50,000 of new business as a result of these activities.

Oonagh Hinds, Manager of Invest NI’s Eastern Regional Office, said: "CareerSport Fitness Academy takes an innovative approach to recruitment and training and offers its customers specialised services which have considerable export potential. Enhancing its management team and undertaking targeted sales and marketing activities have made a positive impact on the company's performance which CareerSport aims to build on over the coming months."

CareerSport Fitness Academy also promotes continuous professional development courses such as Performance Enhancement Specialist and Corrective Exercise Specialist, credited by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). Courses include full-time and part-time study facilitating e-learning and distance learning modules.
