Man Extradited Following Two Murders

A man has been extradited from Australia to Northern Ireland in relation to two murders in County Armagh in 2006.

The 30-year-old, who was extradited by police officers, is due to appear in court in Newry later today.

Thomas O'Hare, 33, and Lisa McClatchey, 21, died after they were attacked in their home they shared in Tassagh.

They pair were doused in petrol, beaten with hammers and their home was set on fire.

They later died in hospital.

21-year-old appears in court following student's death
A man has appeared in a Scottish court charged with assaulting a student from Northern Ireland who later died after being found at a nearby roadside. Liam Armstrong, 21, whose address was not given, appeared in private and on petition from custody at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday.

Motorcyclist Dies In Race Crash
A motorcyclist has died following a crash in the Walderstown Road Races in Athlone. Bruce Moulds, 20, from Hillsborough, was taken to a hospital in Dublin on Sunday, but later died from his injuries. He was taking part in a race when he lost control of the bike and he crashed into a ditch.

The daughter of former Westminster MP, Bernadette (Devlin) McAliskey will not be extradited to Germany to face terrorist charges. A Belfast court has turned down an application for the extradition of Roisin McAliskey to Germany.

Man Extradited From Ireland To Face Serious Charges
A 33-year-old man has been extradited from Northern Ireland to the Republic of Ireland to face serious charges. The man is accused of assault causing harm, coercive control, contravention of a safety order, theft, and possession of a weapon. The alleged offences occurred in the Monaghan area between 2020 and 2021.

Man Extradited From US Over Historical Child Sex Abuse
A 68-year-old man has been sentenced to 18 months in prison for a series of indecent assaults on a child in the 1970s. Damien Desmond Anderson, originally from L'Derry, was extradited from the US to face justice. He was convicted of 12 counts of indecent assault against a female who was 11 years old at the time of the abuse.
