Antrim Arson Attacks Condemned

Alliance Councillor Neil Kelly has condemned a spate of attacks in Antrim last night, which follow a number of serious arson attacks on vehicles in the town over the weekend.

On Monday night a shed was set alight in the Meadow area, followed by a car in the Kintraye area and the windscreen of a car in the Islay Street area was also smashed.

Councillor Kelly said: "These latest attacks follow a number of serious arson attacks on vehicles over the weekend. This is extremely worrying and I wholeheartedly condemn these incidents.

"There is nothing to suggest why these individuals have been targeted, but one thing is clear - there is absolutely no justification for attacks on other people’s properly.

"I am very concerned at the increase in attacks in recent days and I would urge anyone with information to contact the PSNI as soon as possible. Those responsible must be taken off our streets and dealt with before the courts."
