Two Men Arrested In Relation To Immigration Offences
Two men have been arrested for immigration offences.
They were held after UK Border Agency officers raided two houses, in County Down and Antrim, on Tuesday.
A 45-year-old from the Philippines was detained at the Belfast Road in Bangor, and an indian man was found at a property on Richview Street in Belfast.
They will be sent bak to their home countries as their visas had expired.
Mike Golden of the UK Border Agency, said: "Foreign nationals who are in this country illegally should be in no doubt that they will be found, arrested and removed from the UK.
"We are determined to crack down on illegal immigrants and anyone found living or working here illegally is liable to be detained and removed."

Consultation Launches Aimed At Drivers Illegally Using Mobile Phones
A public consultation has launched to crack down on drivers illegally using mobile phones. It is already an offence to drive a vehicle while 'using' a hand-held mobile phone or similar device and is currently punishable by a fixed penalty of £60 and three penalty points. However, illegal use of mobile phones by drivers is an increasing problem.

Drugs finds in north and east Belfast
A quantity of drugs with an estimated street value of £70,000 have been recovered in Belfast. The Police Service of Northern Ireland's drugs squad recovered a substantial haul of cannabis resin in a house at the junction of Kylemore Park and Ballysillan Road in north Belfast at about 8.30pm on Wednesday, January 30.

Waste Illegally Dumped In Northern Ireland Will Be Removed
The Irish government has agreed to a new cross-border scheme to remove waste that was illegally dumped in Northern Ireland. The Northern Ireland Environment Agency (NIEA) said that 20 sites north of the border contain up to 250,000 tonnes of municipal and commercial waste dumped illegally from the south between 2002 and 2004.
