£250m Ulster Uni Development
A new £250m University of Ulster campus in Belfast city centre has been recommended for planning approval by environment minister Alex Attwood.
The proposed development, built around the existing campus in York Street, were unveiled last March and will include three new buildings.
These will be at Frederick Street/York Street, Donegall Street and Great Patrick Street.
A new footbridge and minor works to the existing university building at York Street, alongside improvements to York Lane, are also included in the development plan.
Additionally Mr Attwood has recommended refusal on an application for a mixed-use development at Frederick Street.
The department of the environment is currently consulting Belfast city council on their opinions on both applications.
