Holywood filling station robbed

A male shop assistant has been threatened at gunpoint at a filling station in Co Down.

The employee was confronted by two men, one of whom had a hand gun, at around 8pm when they entered the store on the Ballymiscaw Road, Holywood and demanded money.

The men, who are believed to be in their 20's, then made of with cigarettes, the victims wallet and his red Ford Fiesta car, registration, DCZ 5537.

The masked gunman is described as being around 6'2' tall, of slim build wearing a black jacket with blue jeans.

His accomplice is believed to be about 5'8' tall, medium build and who wore a baseball cap and light blue jacket with a large collar which he used to hide his face.

Anyone who was in the area at the time is being urged to contact Bangor police on 91454444.

Appeal over Missing Chinese Nationals
Police have re-issued an appeal over the disappearance of two Chinese nationals almost eight weeks since they went missing. Detective Chief Inspector Catherine Magee said: "The two women, thirty year old Ni, Xiaofang and 26 year old Ni, Zhiling, failed to return to their tour bus whilst visiting the Giants Causeway, Bushmills on Tuesday, 29 July.

Further Arrests In Pat McCormick Murder Probe
Detectives investigating the disappearance and murder of William (Pat) McCormick have arrested two men. The 55-year-old father of four was last seen on the evening of Thursday 30 May in Comber, County Down. He has not made contact with his family since and police believe he has sadly been killed.

Holywood service station robbed
Police are investigating the robbery of a service station in Holywood Co Down last night. At around 8.20 pm two men surprised a member of staff at the rear store of the premises and lead her to the main office were they stole a large quantity of cigarettes and an undisclosed sum of cash.

Appeal After City Armed Robbery
Detectives in south Belfast have appealed for information following an armed robbery in the Ormeau Road area earlier this week. On Tuesday, just after 9pm, two males entered a shop and made their way to the tills. The men, who had firearms in their possession, demanded that the till be opened.

Appeal issued over missing teenager
Police in west Belfast have appealed for help in tracing the whereabouts of a 14-year-old boy who has been missing since the weekend. Paul McCoubrey was last seen leaving his New Barnsley Park home at 12.30pm on Saturday March 6. He is described as 5'6", of average build, short cropped dark hair, grey/blue eyes and a pale complexion.
