Portadown Firm Triples Its Online Sales
Portadown-based firm Craigmore Industrial and Engineering Solutions has tripled its online sales following assistance from Invest Northern Ireland.
Since the company launched its website last year, its online sales have grown consistently. Craigmore is now exporting products to customers in Great Britain and the Republic of Ireland for the first time. The firm sells a range of equipment such as power washers, sweepers, welding equipment, protection equipment and workshop tools.
Craigmore recently invested over £50,000 as part of plans to grow its customer base and generate export sales. As well as developing its website, the company has recruited a Business Development Executive and is also implementing an extensive sales and marketing strategy.
Invest NI has offered Craigmore over £20,000 of support part funded by the European Regional Development Fund towards these activities.
Mark Bleakney, Invest NI's Southern Regional Manager, said: "Craigmore is committed to raising its profile among new customers, particularly in the Republic of Ireland. This drive is now paying off as the company has experienced an impressive uplift in sales since it embraced e-commerce. With a dedicated marketing resource and a clear sales strategy in place, Craigmore will have a solid foundation to build up a competitive market position outside Northern Ireland."
Geoff Baird, Managing Director for Craigmore, said: "Investing in our marketing capabilities was essential to successfully grow our business outside Northern Ireland and our online sales have been rising each month as a result.
"The site www.craigmoreonline.co.uk is designed to be user friendly, simple to navigate and this has been vital to our success. The assistance we’ve received from Invest NI has given us the confidence and capabilities to explore new markets and revenue streams.
"I would be happy to talk to any company and explain how we have been so successful. We aim to continue building on this success throughout the coming year."
