Man dies in farming accident

A man has died in a farming accident in Co Armagh.

The incident occurred at around 5.30pm last night when the man, who is believed to be in his 70's, became trapped under a tractor.

Police are currently investigating the incident which occurred on the Ballymore Road near Tandragee.

Elsewhere, police are investigating what they believe to be a suspicious fire which destroyed a car in Co Tyrone.

The vehicle is believed to have been moved before being set alight in Lisnafin Park, Strabane, shortly before 1.30am this morning.

Serious Road Crash In L'Derry
A serious road crash has occurred on the Chapel Road in L'Derry. A car and a motorbike where involved in the incident, according to the police. One man, believed to be a teenager, has been taken to hospital where his injuries are believed to be serious. The road has been closed at its junctions with Newlyn Terrace and Spencer Road.

Fatal Stabbing In Fermanagh
Police have arrested a 25-year-old woman in connection with the death of a teenager at the weekend. The incident occurred around 11.30pm last night at a house at Townhill Park in the Irvinestown area, Co Fermanagh. It is believed that the 19-year-old man died after being stabbed in the chest.

Man Dies In Farming Accident
A man, believed to be in his 80s, has died following a farming accident in Co Tyrone. He is thought to have been hit by a tractor on a farm in the Loughnamarve Road in Pomeroy. The Health and Safety Executive has confirmed it is investigating the incident. No further details have been released.

Masked And Armed Men Break Into Elderly Couple's Home
Four masked men, two believed to be armed with a screwdriver and poker, burgled an elderly couples home in L'Derry. The incident occurred in the Boleran Road area at approximately 8pm on Thursday. The victims, aged in their 70s and 90s, were held in the kitchen while the rest of the house was ransacked.
