Caterpillar Announce 200 Jobs For Belfast

Sinn Féin MP Paul Maskey has welcomed the announcement of 200 new jobs for West Belfast. The 200 new jobs are at Caterpillar.

The West Belfast MP said: "This is welcome news for West Belfast. The creation of jobs is always good news but especially so in this current economic climate.

"The area has suffered from decades of economic neglect and discrimination and the recent redundancies at FG Wilson where a further blow.

"There are many of us trying to secure investment in West Belfast and we will continue to lobby for greater investment in the area."

Over 200 New Jobs Bound For Belfast
Almost 200 jobs are to be created in Belfast as a part of a £10 million expansion by a Human Resources agency. Reed Managed Services currently employs 62 people in the city, which will rise to around 220 after the expansion. This will provide human resources, shared services and technical support to the UK and Ireland from Belfast.

Purepipe To Create Six New Jobs
Belfast-based Purepipe is investing £250,000 and creating six new jobs as part of plans to boost sales in Great Britain and the Republic of Ireland. Invest Northern Ireland has offered the company £45,000 towards its expansion which involves investing in new state-of-the-art specialised pipe manufacturing equipment needed to target new business.

Vistakon Ireland Creates 100 New Jobs
The Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Richard Bruton TD and Minister for Finance, Michael Noonan TD today announced that Vistakon Ireland plans to invest over €100 million in the expansion of its manufacturing operations and create 100 new highly skilled jobs at its site in the National Technology Park, Plassey, Limerick.
