Foster Highlights NI Proposition In London
Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster has told an audience of key influencers and potential investors in London why they should do business in Northern Ireland.
The Minister was speaking at an event at the City of London Corporation's Guildhall, which was celebrating the 400th anniversary of The Honourable The Irish Society and London's links to Londonderry.
Arlene Foster said: "Northern Ireland remains one of the top locations in Europe for quality investment thanks to our skills base, infrastructure and academic links.
"In recent years we have seen investment in financial services, legal services and ICT by global firms such Allen & Overy, Allstate and NYSE Technologies, which have placed Northern Ireland on the global stage.
"This year, the spotlight is firmly on Londonderry with the 2013 City of Culture celebrations giving the city and the wider North West an opportunity to show the world what it has to offer.
"The North West boasts facilities such as C-TRIC at Altnagelvin, the advanced research carried out at the University of Ulster's Magee and Coleraine campuses. In addition, across the wider region there is a strong indigenous business base and a number of growing sectors including digital, technology and cloud computing."
