Translink Brings Back Love Metro Saturdays

Translink has announced the return of its popular Love Metro Saturdays day ticket offering unlimited travel onboard Metro services throughout Belfast for just £2 every Saturday in February.

In addition, Translink will provide free bus services from both Cairnshill and Black’' Road Park and Ride sites every Saturday in February.

Regional Development Minister Danny Kennedy MLA and Translink Group Chief Executive Catherine Mason announced the return of the 'Love Metro Saturdays' day ticket offering unlimited travel onboard Metro bus services throughout Belfast for just £2 every Saturday in February. Translink will also provide free bus services from both Cairnshill and Black’s Road Park and Ride sites. The special offers support the 'Backing Belfast' campaign helping to boost trade across the city.

Translink Group Chief Executive Catherine Mason said: "This is excellent news for our customers and local traders. Our ‘Love Metro Saturdays’ day ticket means people can travel anywhere on the Metro network after 9.30am for just £2.

"Metro services operate every 5-10mins on all 12 key corridors up until around 9pm every evening, and on average every half hour after 9pm, some as late as 11pm.

"Free Park & Ride also offers extra convenience and savings for the journey to and from the city centre, avoiding the hassle and cost of car-parking.

"These travel offers support the wide range of great deals available at both shopping and leisure outlets throughout the city, encouraging people to get behind Belfast whether it’s for socialising or shopping.

"We are pleased to be supporting local retailers by ‘Backing Belfast’ and hope more people will use Metro to sample all the city has to offer."
