Dolours Price Funeral Takes Place

The funeral of former IRA prisoner Dolours Price has taken place.

The service was at St Agnes' Catholic Church in Andersonstown, west Belfast, this morning.

She was found dead at her home in Malahide, Dublin, on Wednesday night.

The sisters were convicted for their part in the IRA car bomb attack on London's Old Bailey courts in 1973.

Over 200 people were injured in the incident and one man died.

She was behind bars for eight years and was released in 1980.

Funeral of IRA man takes place
The funeral has taken place today of a 24-year-old IRA man in Co Armagh. Keith Rogers, from Hackballscross in County Louth, was shot dead after a row broke out in a village close to the Republic of Ireland. He was one of 10 people involved in the incident which saw another two men injured.

Marriage increase in Northern Ireland
Latest figures have revealed that there has been an increase in the number of marriages in Northern Ireland. The number for 2006 was just 8,300, a small increase on the 8,100 marriages registered in 2005, the Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency (NISRA) said. This is a significant increase on the recent low of 7,300 registered in 2001.

Policing Board Puts Community Involvement On Agenda
Policing in the community is up for discussion both this week in Belfast and separately the following week at a meeting in Newtownabbey. The Northern Ireland Policing Board has invited members of the public to a meeting which will allow them the opportunity to find out more about the work of the Board and how it oversees policing.

Wimbledon Finals To Be Shown At Belfast City Hall
The men's and women's Wimbledon finals are to be shown on the Big Screen at the Belfast City Hall this weekend. The Ladies' Singles final takes place on Saturday, 09 July, and the Men's Final takes place on Sunday, 10 July. Both matches start at 2pm, with pre-match coverage live from 1pm.
