25 New Jobs As Greens Opens Pizzeria In Ballyhackamore
Greens Pizza, one of Belfast's favourite eateries, will create 25 new jobs when it opens new premises on the Upper Newtownards Road at the end of the month.
Business partners Manus McConn and William Clark opened their first restaurant in 1995 on the Lisburn Road and the pair decided the location in bustling Ballyhackamore was perfect for Greens.
Mr McConn said: "We are very excited about this development. The Ballyhackamore area has seen a lot of new business development recently and has played a valuable role in the city’s resurgence. We have built a loyal customer base on the Lisburn Road over the past 17 years and we want to see even more people enjoying our delicious pizzas."
The Lisburn Road pizzeria was highly commended in the Best Hospitality category in the recent Belfast Business Awards.
The new restaurant occupies 1300 square feet and will seat 50 customers. Mr Clark said it would have the same excellent quality of food, relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff that has made the original Greens a Belfast institution.
Mr Clark said: "Our aim is to give the people of this area the high standards of food and service and the ambience that makes Greens such a special place in which to work and to visit. The menu and décor of our new premises will be similar to Lisburn Road but it will be very convenient to people from East Belfast, Castlereagh, Newtownards and North Down."
