Man robbed at gunpoint in Newtownards

Police in Newtownards are appealing for information after a man was held up at gunpoint and robbed last night.

As the man made a pizza delivery to an address at Ballyreagh Way at Newtownards at around 10.30 pm he was approached by three masked men. One of the robbers was armed with a gun and another with an iron bar. They demanded money, then searched the man's car and took a sum of cash before they made off on foot.

Bomb Planted Under Police Officer's Car
Police have launched an investigation following the attempted murder of a police officer in east Belfast. A serving officer detected a suspicious object under his vehicle when parked at Shandon Park on Saturday afternoon, 01 June. ATO were called to the scene and the device was declared a viable explosive.
