Supermac's Becomes 100th Member Of Love Irish Food
Supermac's has proudly become the 100th member of Love Irish Food.
The family restaurant business, with 110 outlets nationwide, is delighted to highlight the high level of Irish produce it uses throughout its restaurants by partnering with the organisation. Love Irish Food is a not for profit organisation which was founded in 2009 to promote the positive benefits of buying Irish manufactured food and drink brands.
Representing some of Ireland's biggest and smallest food brands, Love Irish Food has worked hard to communicate the positive consequences of buying Irish and in doing so has helped change consumer attitudes with more consumers now indicating a willingness to buy Irish. Supermac’s represents an exciting addition to the Love Irish Food membership with the company employing over 2,700 people. It has grown from one restaurant in Ballinasloe in 1978 to a national force, providing significant direct and indirect economic benefit to the Irish economy.
Pat McDonagh, Managing Director of Supermac's, said: "We are delighted to be partnering with Love Irish Food. In fact a number of Love Irish Foods members are our suppliers such as Manor Farm and Johnston Mooney & O’Brien amongst others. Supermac's has always recognised supporting our own as being paramount to helping the economy grow and thrive. It has always been a policy of Supermac's to support Irish."
