Man Pleads Guilty To Murdering Neighbour
An east Belfast man has pleaded guilty at Belfast Crown Court to murdering his neighbour.
36-year-old Robert Scott was due to go on trial for the murder of Richard Hicking, but changed his plea to guilty today.
Mr Hicking’s body was found in his flat in Clarawood Park on 30 April, 2011.
The 31-year-old had been stabbed.
Scott has received an automatic life sentence for the killing. The minimum term he must serve will be set later.
Mr Justice McCloskey has adjourned the case until 8 February.

A man has pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of a teacher in Limavady in 2007. Victor Kennedy, 35, of no fixed abode, had previously denied murdering Michael McGinnis, but he pleaded guilty to the charge of manslaughter at Londonderry Crown Court on Tuesday.

Polish Man's Appeal Rejected
A Polish man found guilty of murdering Shirley Finlay, 24, in Ballymena has failed in his appeal to have the murder conviction overturned. Henryk Gorski, 55, was found guilty in October 2009 of beating and strangling the young woman, and is serving at least 20 years in jail for the murder.

Crymble wife sentenced to 20 years
A County Armagh woman found guilty of murdering her husband has been sentenced to at least 20-years imprisonment. Jacqueline Crymble, 35, and Roger Ferguson, 31, were found guilty of murdering Paul Crymble three years ago at Richill in 20 June 2004.
