Man Arrested Over South Belfast Robbery
A 24-year-old man has been arrested by police investigating an attempted robbery in south Belfast.
Police were called to the Ormeau Road at about 11:00 on Thursday, after reports of masked and possibly armed men in the area.
Police believe a blue Renault Laguna car with registration YBZ 5390 was used by the men.
The car was found in Baroda Street at around midday.
It is thought the men made off towards Elgin Street and Delhi Street.
A grey BMW 320 touring, registration UEZ 8597, is also thought to have been involved in the incident.
Police found it abandoned in Baroda Street after colliding with a police vehicle.
Police have asked anyone who noticed anything suspicious in the area to contact them on 0845 600 8000 or to give information anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.

Man Charged Following Drugs Find
A man has been charged after police seized drugs, worth a street value of between £50,000-£75,000, in Co L'Derry. Cannabis plants and herbal cannabis were discovered during search in the High Street area in Draperstown on Wednesday. A 35-year-old man has been charged with possession and cultivation of class B drugs with intent to supply.

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Five Arrested After Man's Body Found In Portadown
Five people have been arrested after a man's body was discovered in a stream in Co Armagh. The body was discovered in the near the Mourneview Street area on Sunday morning. Three men, a woman and a 17-year-old girl have been arrested and are being questioned at a Belfast police station.

Two Men Beaten With Baseball Bats
Two men were injured in Belfast on Tuesday evening in a paramilitary-style attack. A police spokesperson said that three men wearing balaclavas attacked the two men with baseball bats in Ainsworth Street area in the north of the city on Tuesday at around 7.30pm.
