Two Men Arrested In Connection With Bangor Shooting

Two men have been arrested in relation to an alleged shooting in Bangor.

It is believed that no-one was injured and the report came from the Springhill area on Wednesday.

Police said the incident involved an off-duty police officer.

The A2 Belfast Road into Bangor has been closed from Rathgael Road.

Police are continuing with their investigations.

Holywood filling station robbed
A male shop assistant has been threatened at gunpoint at a filling station in Co Down. The employee was confronted by two men, one of whom had a hand gun, at around 8pm when they entered the store on the Ballymiscaw Road, Holywood and demanded money.

Man's Body Recovered From Bangor Marina
Police have launched an investigation after the body of a man was recovered from Bangor Marina on Wednesday, 13 May. Police received a report that a man had entered the water shortly after 10.15am. Emergency services and police attended the scene and the body was recovered from the water. Police are not treating the death as suspicious.

JJB Shopper Cautioned
A disorderly shopper has been cautioned by police in L’Derry following trouble at a branch of the collapsed JJB Sport chain. Police were called at around 11pm on Monday to the Strand Road, where masses of people had accumulated as shoppers tried to get their hands on discounted sports gear.

High Bangor Road Opens Following Traffic Collision
The High Bangor Road at Donaghadee with its junction at Stock Bridge Road has reopened as of 9:25am following a one car traffic collision. One person has been injured but is not thought that their injuries are life threatening.
