14 People Report Firework Injury In 2012 Halloween Period
14 people reported a firework related injury in the 2012 Halloween period, 17th October to the 14th Novemebr, according to statistics published today.
This was 11 less than in 2011 and the lowest number since the data collection began in 1996, according to The Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety (DHSSPS).
Ten of the 14 people hurt were male.
The most common injury was to the wrist or hand.

Woman And Son Escape Injury After Shooting Attack In Co Armagh
A woman and her son have escaped injury following a shooting attack in Co Armagh. Shots were fired at a property in the Cloghoge Road area of Cullyhanna on Wednesday, 21 February. Windows were broken in the living room, kitchen and sitting room areas. The woman and child were inside the property at the time of the attack.

The first Northern Ireland conference to be held by the Child Brain Injury Trust has been opened today by Health Minister Edwin Poots. Minister Poots paid tribute to Trust and commended the work done for children and young people with brain injury and their families.

Two people escape injury following house fire
Two people have escaped injury following a blaze at a house in Co Armagh at the weekend. A man in his 40s escaped injury following the fire in his home at Ashlea Gardens, Markethill, in the early hours of Saturday morning. He escaped through a window after he was wakened by smoke around 4am.

Detectives are appealing for information following a report of a burglary in Ahoghill on Tuesday, 12th November. Police received a report that the back door of a house on the Ballymena Road was forced open shortly before 6pm.
