Mother Appeals Over Daughter's 'Rape'
A mother has appealed for information after her 18-year-old daughter was allegedly raped in L’Derry.
The teenager was reportedly attacked in the Rosemount area in the early morning of Wednesday 5 December.
The PSNI's Rape Crime Unit is currently investigating.
The mother said she was out with her daughter when she went missing. Her daughter was found near the Rosemount area by police the following morning.
Her mother said she cannot remember what happened.
Bruises have been found on the girl's body following medical examinations.
Guns And 'Bomb' Seized In Lurgan
Police have seized two guns and what is believed to be an explosive device in Lurgan, County Armagh.
The discovery follows searches on Sunday and Monday in the Liscorran Road and Cornakinnegar Road areas of the town.
Police have appealed for anyone who noticed suspicious activity in the areas to contact them.
Norman Moffatt Murder: Man Arrested
A 49-year-old man has been arrested in relation to the murder of pensioner Norman Moffatt.
Detectives have taken the man to Coleraine police station for questioning.
The 73-year-old Coleraine pensioner was stabbed in January 2001 as he returned home after buying his morning paper.
He was taken to hospital and died two months later in March.
L'Derry Sees 20% Burglary Increase
The PSNI have announced a 20% increase in burglaries in L’Derry compared with last year.
325 homes have been targeted by burglars in the city this year.
In the past fortnight, police have investigated 20 burglaries in L’Derry and have arrested and charged 17 suspected burglars since October.

Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Petia Fleming and her eight-year-old daughter Rhianna were seen in the Newtownbreda area on Wednesday morning. Petia is described as around 5ft 4inches in height, of slim build and with collar-length blond hair.

A woman has been attacked during an aggravated burglary in Co Tyrone. The incident happened at a house on the Tattyreagh Road in Omagh on Wednesday evening, 11 January. The mother and her eight-year-old daughter were also tied up by two masked men armed with a hammer. The woman was hit in the face and had to receive medical treatment.

A mother and daughter have died following a house fire in County Tryrone at the weekend. Elizabeth McGirr, 71, and her daughter, Deirdre, 38, died in the blaze at Dunlea Vale, Dungannon, at about 10pm on Saturday. It is understood the mother, who lived nearby and had recently suffered from a stroke, was visiting her daughter when the fire started.
