Name Of Road Accident Victim Released

Police have released the name of a man who was killed in a road accident in County Armagh on Friday.

18-year-old Andrew Higgins was hit by a car on the Monaghan Road at about 16:00.

Police believe the driver of a red flatbed lorry which was spotted in the area at the time may have information.

They have appealed for witnesses to contact them.

Father And Daughter Killed In Road Collision

A father and daughter who died in a road accident in County L’Derry on Thursday night have been named.

Colin Doherty and his daughter Hannah, 15, were in a car involved in a collision with a cattle lorry between Magherafelt and Moneymore.

Police have now begun an investigation into the accident and have appealed for witnesses to contact them.

Teenagers Killed in Car Accident

Two teenagers have died following a road collision near Pomeroy in County Tyrone on Saturday.

18-year-old Kevin Conway and 16-year-old Lisa O'Donnell died when their car collided with a lorry on the the Termon Road.

The incident occurred about midday on Saturday.

A man in his 30s was taken to hospital for treatment.

Sinn Féin councillor Cathal Mallaghan described the deaths as a tremendous shock.

Driver Hijacked At Knife-Point

A driver was threatened with a knife during a hijacking on Saturday.

The incident occurred when the man stopped his car at the junction of Gardiner Street and Peter's Hill in north Belfast at about 18:00.

Two men approached the car, opened the door and dragged the driver from his car.

The men then drove off and the car was found on fire about 20 minutes later in the Whitehouse area of Newtownabbey.

Serious Road Accident In L'Derry
Police are appealing for witnesses of a serious road accident in Maghera, Co L'Derry, on Sunday night. A man in his 20s is in a critical condition in hospital following the two car collision on the Coleraine Road. It is understood a number of people were injured in the collision but none of them seriously.

Man Dies In Co Antrim Road Crash
A man has died in a collision in Crumlin, Co Antrim. The crash, which involved a car and a lorry, happened on the Manse Road, at its junction with Nutts Corner, at around 10.50am on Monday, 10 April. The victim, aged in his 20s, was the driver of an Audi car. The lorry driver was not injured. The road has been reopened.
